About Us
The history of P Fahey & Sons actually dates back to the 1890’s with Patrick Fahey. Patrick left his home in Ireland and went to Chicago, where he joined Wells Fargo Transport. He worked training the wild horses from the prairie in preparation for work on local and long distance transport and travel including transporting goods to and from the ports. If the horses were not trained properly then Patrick would have been dismissed. He was rightly proud that the horses were never returned as unfit for the job.
Today, the same ethos of quality and ‘getting it right first time’ apply. P Fahey & Sons has all the quality and industry standards that would be expected from a Firm of our status and reputation. From British Standards Institution to British Association of Removers, accreditation of quality systems to Road Haulage Association our credentials are exemplary.
The background with Wells Fargo set the family on the road to owning and running a transport business. There probably isn’t a removals 'challenge' for which Faheys haven’t found a solution, at some point during the last 50+ years in business. And the vast amount of knowledge and expertise passed down to son Peter and in turn to grandsons, Andrew and Simon ensures the Fahey service remains "second to none”.
The experience gained in the dedicated management of a removal business has proved invaluable. Our staff are our greatest resource and we invest in them continuously and thus, are not surprised by the positive feedback we receive from customers about their attitude, attention to detail and customer care.
Our length of service to customers is of great importance to us. Many of which have been with us for over 5 years. We work to establish an acceptable standard and to maintain that standard to the customer’s satisfaction throughout our relationship.
